After only 5 years, due to poor initial product selection, a large plastic PPR hot water header pipe leaked and could not be repaired. This complex U-shaped 250mm pipe had over 16 connections off it. The replacement pipe had to match these existing connections. It was required to be installed within a very tight time frame of a few hours, as the hospital depended on this pipework to maintain the correct temperature and humidity in its operating theatres.

Flow Industries measured the pipework using laser technology, fabricated the header, planned a shutdown in the early morning hours, and completed the replacement task in six hours with minimal disruption to the hospital. Careful planning paid off, and the theatres could operate again without disruptions.
